Helping parents support their children with career guidance
Career Guidance is an unenviable task for any parent. As deadlines for choosing subjects and applications for further education loom closer, the pressure to make decisions gets stronger. Yet many feel disempowered because of how quickly the job market is changing or they worry their own biases might steer their child in the wrong direction. Given the lack of resources it is almost impossible for schools to provide personalised support that children need so it is down to the parents to lead the process. Children who through the natural rebellion of adolescence feel compelled to take ownership of choices for which they ultimately have no experience.
